Oh, The Horror, The Indignity!

Hello all! A trifecta of entries, Mom is really making an effort to to work on our blog! Unfortunately, the topic of this entry is not so fun or impressive.

Yesterday, we walked out to see this ...

Now we are not stupid so we knew what that meant. It's not like Mom can get in that little thing! We knew our fun filled smelly hours were numbered.

Poor Roxie is always the first one to go in because, as soon as she is sure about what is going to happen, she disappears. Mom has learned this so Roxie doesn't get to see anyone get a bath before hers. If you look closely, you can see she has her tail tucked because she is not happy. The only good thing you can say about going first is you get finished first.

Andy is pretty easy going and maybe hasn't had to deal with as many baths as the rest of us. He pretty much just stands there and lets it happen.

Jake and Maggie went next but their mom showed a little more restraint and didn't snap pictures while they were in such an undignified condition. Do you hear that, Mom?

Finally it was Sammy's turn. Sammy is never too crazy about getting a bath but usually it leads to treats so he stands stoically waiting for it to all be over.

And finally, the whole reason we put up with this process! Check out our new treats! Mom and Aunt Bec have switched (or are in the process of switching) us to Blue Wilderness kibble and canned food. Mom bought some of their treats too. We can say that they are very, very yummy. We don't leave any crumbs behind!

Our New Collars and Road Trip!

Hey Dogs! Sammy Here!

We've been telling you that we got new collars but we haven't been able to show them to you until now. Mom sat on the sofa and took all of our tags off of our old collars and put them on our new collars. We used to have Roxie: Green, Sammy: Blue and Andy: Red. Our harnesses and leashes are still like that but Andy went to a black and grey collar. Mom said the red looked too pink and she didn't want people mistaking him for a girl! Anyway, here are pictures of us in our new collars!

Roxie, beautiful as always ...

Me, Sammy, keeping guard because I'm the man of the house!

Andy, being Andy!

Once we were all dressed up in our new collars, Mom pulled out Sammy's old harness and Roxie and Andy's new harnesses and we went on a road trip! We went to Mona's house! Mona's mommy said Mona needed somedog to play with since Jacks, Toby and Evander went to live somewhere else.

Mona's mommy also wanted to add some things to Mona's blog and asked our mom if she would help a little bit. We were glad to go help.

We were really glad to go help when Mona's mommy gave us some treats we had never had. We got some rawhide rolls with chicken inside. We have never had anything like that and, let me tell you, I finished mine off in about 10 minutes and then tried to steal Andy's. Mom was mean and wouldn't let me or Roxie have Andy's treat. She even reached into Roxie's mouth TWICE and took it out to give back to Andy. I'm glad it was Mom and not me! I think Roxie would have tried to bite off my nose if I tried to take it from her. How would I be able to sniff out food and treats if I didn't have a nose?

But, before we forget, we do want to say something important ...
Mona's mommy, thank you for the yummy treat! If you ever want us to come visit again, we will be glad to come over!

We would show you some pictures of our visit with Mona but Mom forgot the camera. If you go look at Mona's blog, you can see a picture of her in the profile. Isn't she a pretty little girl?

Anyway, after we visited for a while, we came home. We decided it was naptime after all of the inspecting and adventuring we had done.

Pretty soon we will have to supervise the printing of our new Christmas cards since Opy sent the list to us. We need to get busy ... after our nap.

Calendar Girls (and Boys) and Tasty Treats

It's our month! We are finally the calendar girl and boys! Woo Hoo! The beautiful Flossy is the other August calendar girl! Mom keeps singing some stupid song "I love, I love the calendar girls."

We got to enjoy our Frosty Paws tonight. We shared them with our cousins. Aunt Bec helped Mom get some pictures. We will show them to you as soon as Mom gets them edited to how she wants them to look.

And this morning we got another new treat. We each got some wallymelon in our food bowls! That stuff is absolutely the yummiest. We are so glad Luckie Girl sent us yummy treats. Since she showed Mom what tasty choices there are for fur babies, Mom has been letting us try new things! For a human, Mom is pretty much worth keeping.

Question of the Day ... and Other Stuff

Does anydog remember when we told you Mom bought us some Frosty Paws?

Does anydog remember seeing any pictures of us enjoying Frosty Paws?
No? Well, maybe that because they are still in the box in the freezer!! It's the end of July? What is she waiting for ... a heat wave?

Well the good news is she says we are going to get them and soon! We know this must be true because check out this picture!

She bought all the stuff to make homemade Frosty Paws. She has seen a couple of good recipes from Nanook and Maggie (of SoCal), so she bought everything necessary and she says she is going to make them for us. We will keep you posted.

In other news, she gave us a different food treat last night. For dinner we each found part of a boiled egg in with our kibble and cottage cheese. Mom boiled an extra egg just for us! She does love us (Frosty Paws or not)! Roxie wasn't too sure about it because she doesn't like things to change too much but Sammy chowed down so fast we aren't even sure if he noticed he had something new in his bowl. Andy ate all of his too so everybody decided it was pretty good.

And last, but not least, we have a new award. Well, we will have a new award. We have been selected as the Cool Dog Site for August 11, 2007. We will be featured on their blog and be in the running for the Cool Dog Site of the Month for August. Just remember, you were our friends before we became world famous ... oh wait, we are already world famous thanks to all of our friends! Dogs Aye View is the Cool Dog Site for today so we are in good company!

Another One of OUR Treats From Luckie Girl

Mom finally pulled out another one of our treats from Luckie Girl. This time we got to try the Carrot Crunch cookie.

Mom broke it into three pieces so we could each try it. She started with Sammy. You can't tell from these pictures but this isn't the first time he got the cookie. Mom was holding it and trying to figure out how to get a picture and he jumped up and pulled it out of her hand. We guess he got tired of waiting. So Mom ended up chasing him around. Since he was running, he didn't get to eat it. He wouldn't let go so she pulled it up until he was on his hind legs and finally let go. He really didn't understand when she gave it RIGHT BACK TO HIM! You'll notice that look on his face ... it says "So, how long do I get to keep it this time?"

Mom called Andy over. He realized Sammy had something really good so he was waiting for his piece.

Look at Andy's eyes get all big and round. He must be thinking "Wow, that smells good! Is that piece all for ME?"

It was so good, he decided to sit down and really enjoy it.

Finally it was Roxie's turn. Sammy came over just in case she didn't like it. Mom told him to go away. Roxie, being more delicate than the boys, went into the house to eat her part of the cookie.

And this is what is left of the Carrot Crunch cookie.

Thank you, Luckie Girl. That treat was yummilicous!

Our Package From Luckie Girl!!

It's about time! Mom finally let us open our package from Luckie Girl! It is clearly addressed to us so we don't know why she made us wait so long to open it. It's not like we had to wait for her to open her packages because she didn't get any.

Here you can see that is it from Luckie Girl

First Sammy had to check it out. Since he is the man of the family, he always wants to make sure things are safe for his sister and his younger brother.

Once Sammy said it was okay, Roxie gave it a sniff or two.

And then it was Andy's turn.

Luckie wrote us a very nice note. It says:

Dear Roxie, Sammy and Andy.
(Chinese characters) That means how are you in Chinese.
I hope you enjoy the yummy treats.
Thanks for being my friend.
Luv,
Luckie X X X

Here is a picture of the yummy treats! We have a carrot crunch cookie that looks really yummy. And we have a peanut butter and carob cookie that looks really, really yummy. And we have some cheese and salmon sticks. And we have some round crunchy snacks that must have chicken in them because the package has a picture of a chicken on it and Mom thought it smelled like chicken when she opened it.

Andy decided to get a really good sniff of the treats!

Finally Mom let us each have one of the crunchy chicken things. Roxie and Sammy ran off with theirs so Andy stayed to get his picture taken. It's hard to look sophisticated when you are eating. He was hoping if he stayed close enough, he would get another one. Nope.

We will show you how much we enjoy the rest of the treats when we get them and if Mom is fast enough with the camera!

Thank you, Luckie Girl. We are glad you are our friend too!!
