Two Years of Blogging and a New Creature

We just realized we have been blogging for two years. Actually our blogiversary was April 9th. We sure made entries more often back then. Obviously we need to have some new experiences to tell you about. But, speaking of new experiences ...

We had a new potential invader to the back yard! It was right by the fence and it had nerves of steel! We were right there barking at it and trying dig under the fence and it just sat there. It didn't even move one muscle! But we were brave and kept trying to get to it. We had never seen a creature like this!

Mom says it was a turtle. She also says we have to tell you it was about 4 inches across and 5 inches long and tucked into its shell the whole time we were barking at it. We didn't know it was hiding. We thought it was taunting us by just sitting there. We sure wish we had a picture of the invader but it was kind of dark and Mom seemed more interested in blocking our digging then taking pictures.

Anyway, that is the latest excitement out in the country. Mom says she needs to get ready for work now. We'll be back later!

Happy 2nd Blogaversary!

Turtles are really weird creatures, that's for sure. I once saw a big turtle at the pond, and I thought it was a rock so I went to see it (I like rocks for some reason, hee hee) and then it MOVED! Actually, it plopped itself into the water and splashed me. I wasn't expecting that, so it was kinda scary! For the rest of the day, I was very cautious around anything normal I saw (including other rocks, leaves, sticks, garbage, ...) But I'm not scared of them anymore now...

Will you guys be in the chat room for the DWB anniversary? We hope to see ya there!

Gosh...HELLO again. It's been so long since we've yapped at each other. Now you have a turkle? How fun. Can you play with him? Does he chase balls or sticks? He looks pretty scary. And all that armour. Maybe he's a Turklerist? Be watchful and BEWARE!!!

Love, Mary-Margaret

We haven't found a turtle in our backyard recently but the toads are in great supply. Louie learned his lesson the hard way. Dad said he snatched onto one the other morning and came in foaming at the mouth and spitting. We sure hope he learned his lesson but knowing Louie he will have to try it again..

Happy Blogaversary! Our dachsie cousins have spent the weekend here celebrating our mom's birthday coming up. Her son Michael made a really yummy looking chocolate cake for our mom and we didn't get ANY of it. Mom told us it would killed us so she gave us each a vanilla wafer. We don't think it would kill us--we just think Mom wanted to hog the cake for ourselves. She said she was doing what was best for us and someday if WE had kids, we would understand! We're not having kids...we're too old and we don't have husbands and besides, we like being our mom's kids! I have been worried about you and glad you checked in.

Dachsie hugs,

Shania and Macon who are VERY MAD as it was nail cutting day and we HATE IT!

Hi. Thanks for the visit. I totally understand about not being able to visit as often as you'd like as I am in the same boat! Sometimes real life just demands more attention. Besides it sounds like you've all had a turtle emergency to deal with! :)
