More Limericks for the Contest

We have come up with two more limericks for the contest (see yesterday's post). We hope you enjoy them. Pippa, your interest in Roxie inspired the first one!

Big brown eyes, auburn hair, oh so foxy
Long lean body, glamour nails, she's called Roxie
Gentle sway to her hips
A tender kiss to your lips
You're under the spell of a dachsie!

There once was a wiener named Beaner
There was no wiener keener or meaner
He'd win every fight
Then he'd bathe through the night
There was no wiener cleaner than Beaner ... either

Mom is officially unemployed today and through Monday morning when she starts her new job. Not that she plans to stay home with us. She is going up to the new house today with Grandpaw to deliver some big things. Tomorrow she goes to the dentist. Saturday she takes her car in for its scheduled check-up and gets our new laptop computer from the computer guy. Sunday she will take us up to the country to live. It's going to be a busy few days but we hope to keep you posted.

And we will probably think of another limerick or two that we will have to share with you ... In the meantime, here is one inspired by Aunt Bec ... with multiple last lines.

There once was a woman verbose
She tortured her sister in prose
She'd fracture the rhyme
In limerick each time
In frustration she got punched in the nose

Each year to her grave bring a rose

Drown her out with headphones by Bose

Slam the door and forsake, keep it closed!

Peace would abound when she finally would doze

With feigned interest the sister would pose

Shut up or I'll step on your toes!

Do not bore me with your petty woes

Make her stop, make her stop, on it goes!

Ha roo roo roo! I think Aunt Bec would get along great with Ammy. Ha roo roo roo!
Wowzers, those are some great limericks; you guys are so talented.
Hope your mom's trip to the dentist goes as well as our mom's went - a quick cleaning and a "they look GREAT!" and back home.
How's Roxie doing? Ammy had her cystocentesis yesterday; now we await the results. Cross your paws for our little chatter box!
Play bows,
Zim

Your limerics are great! It sounds like you are going to have a busy weekend. I bet your Mom is excited and nervous about starting a new job. Mom says she's a mess when she starts a new job because she's really really nervous and really really excited at the same time. I guess that's why she stays at her jobs for so long. The one she's at now she's been at for almost 7 years and the one before that was around 9 years (she started that one when she was in highschool).
Have a great time getting moved to the country!

RoxSamAnd's Grandma has a limerick, too! Here goes:

I'm owned by a dachshund named Lexie.
Her ways both charm and perplex me -
She lays down the law
(Iron will, iron paw)
Then quickly with sweetness bedecks me!!
