Armed Forces Day

We went to visit Army of Four and they have a wonderful post about it being Armed Forces Day here in the States.

Mom was married to a US Marine for many, many years before we knew her. She says she will always remember her time as a military spouse and has respect for and gratitude toward those in uniform. You may not be able to find a military member to thank but take a moment out of your day and reflect on the freedoms you have because a soldier/marine/seaman/airman did his/her job out of love for country.

Not a job we would like. Even the peacekeeping forces are in the thick of it.

They also deserve support & respect from their government(s) - and not just political nice words.

Rant off. Kate. (Pippa has not formed a view on this.)

we wish we could give licks to them all! My grandpa who I never got to meet was in the Air Force and he is probably a big time pilot in heaven now, we hope so anyway!!!

We are all very touched that you mentioned Armed Forces Day - not too many people do.
