It is the end of bluebonnet season here. The bluebonnets bloom in early and mid-April but there were still a few blooms in the corner of the yard.
The boys weren't afraid to show that they have a softer side and can stop to smell the bluebonnets.

Hello Roxie, Sammy and Andy
Brill pix. How cool to be able to play in all that nice stuff. Did you get to bark at lots of things? Were there any CATS?? (yum)
Great that you had such a good time at your ground. Pippa.
The blue bonnets are SO pretty! Thanks for sharing them with us! And you boys look ADORABLE! Where was Roxie? Taking the pictures?
Love,
Amber
Hey ~
The flowers are beautiful..erm..I could hardly see the boys in the grass. I hope that means the grass is way too tall and not because the boys were short. kekeke....
Roxie!! Why didn't you join the boys?
Beautiful bluebonnets. Grandaddy has told me about them.
Great Bluebonnet pics! Our Mom stinks and hasn't taken us yet!

Just think, if you guys were green nobody could see you!
One of the things my people miss most about not living in Texas (where one of them was raised) is the bluebonnets. Another is flowers in March and April. In the Midwest where we live now, most of the flowers don't really start to bloom until May or later (the early bulb flowers--crocus, daffs, etc. bloom in April, though, and they are pretty too)

Pretty bluebonnets!
