Wow! it's been a while since we posted. Mom has been watching the weather a lot which means she isn't helping us with our blog. It has been REALLY cold (for Houston) and wet the last couple of days. That means that Mom won't leave us outside for long. She stands out there with us to make sure we do everything we are supposed to do but sometimes she has to guess what is going on if we run behind the garage or under the magnolia trees. In that case, once she gets cold, we all go inside.
We were really lucky. On Monday night, it never did rain so nothing got icy and slippery. It started raining Tuesday night so Mom was a little more concerned. We aren't used to walking around on ice or in icy weather so we were outside only a short time after she got home from work. That usually isn't a good idea with the boys and sure enough ... Mom was glad she had stocked up on paper towels.
This morning was still very cold so, once again, it was a quick trip outside. We just don't understand how the huskies can like cold so much. OK, that isn't true, we can take one look at all that fluffiness and we understand completely. We just aren't fluffy like they are. Half the time when we go outside in cold or rainy weather, at least one of us runs in to the little doghouse and won't come back out until it is time to go back in to the big doghouse.
As you can see, the weather is the big news around here. Fortunately it is supposed to start warming up again today. It needs to warm up a little bit because we are going to the country house on Friday. Mom and Aunt Bec want us to run around outside but only if we aren't going to freeze.
In case you are wondering about the title of this post, that is what Mom calls us during the winter - her little chilly dogs! We are hot dogs in the summer. OK, so it's not THAT clever but give her a break; she's getting old and she's the only mom we have.
