Escape is Cut Off

Hello Free World,

We are still in captivity. We did a check of the perimeter and found some weaknesses so this morning we exploited them. Sammy was the first to make an escape. He was almost immediately spotted on the other side of the fence. Mom used the lure of her sweet "come to Mommy" voice to entice him to come back. In the process, he inadvertently showed her the primary escape route. This is what she did to it...

Next Roxie and Andy escaped while Mom's attention was on blocking the primary escape route. It took special timing because she looked for us as she was walking between the fence line and the dirt pile. Finally, we saw our chance and slipped under the gate. She turned around and we were gone like the wind. But some sort of psychic Mommy Sense told her to walk toward the gate. We were hiding in the tall growth but somehow she spotted us. Roxie sacrificed her freedom for Andy's, so she distracted Mom by coming back slowly as Andy moved deeper into the underbrush.

Mom put Roxie back in the jail yard and went looking for Andy. Fortunately for Roxie, Mom did not realize which part was the escape route and she didn't block it off correctly. Roxie was able to make her escape again! She joined up with Andy and they started sniffing out the area. But, alas, Mom spotted them. To make matters worse, our other jailer, Aunt Bec, came outside and realized somedog had escaped. She helped Mom re-capture us and then Aunt Bec did this to the secondary escape route!

As you can see, our jailers are getting very serious about keeping us in the jail yard. If you send packages, please include wire cutters. We aren't sure we know how to use them but we understand they are necessary for getting through the fence. In the meantime we will continue to look for ways to dig out.

Sammy!! You bad boy, escaping like that but I wish I coulda gone exploring too. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Mommy laughed when she read that her girl Roxie escaped twice!!

Mommy said we gotta go check out what's happeningm at the new house.

I'm all for trying your mom's patience and stuff - but escapes are not good at ALL! The bipeds cannot get by without us -- even for a little while!!! No more escapes, you guys... OK? We'd worry too much about you!
