Rain - Mom is Happy, Us - Not So Much

Well, it has finally rained here. It started like this.

Then it looked like this ...

Pretty soon the part of the deck that didn't have trees over it looked like this ...

And our yard was becoming a muddy mess. This would be the positive part about rain for us. We don't like to get hit by rain. You will notice the distinct lack of puppy dogs in these pictures.

It went on and on and on but Mom wanted to see how much we had so she checked the rain gauge and it showed almost .75 of an inch. It was raining when she took this picture and continued to rain so we did get a little more.

We are sorry that this entry is soooooooo boring but the secretary was excited about the rain so sometimes we have to let her think she gets her way.

Tomorrow we will return to our regular dose of adorable dachsies.

Hey, I am leaving a comment because you told me to. Hee hee.

I agree with you guys. I love getting comments and try to leave one whenever I visit, but sometimes I just can't think of what to say.

Rain, ugh.

I hate the rain, but the humans seem to like it . It is so boring and I especially hate when it makes those loud crashy noises

Hi Roxie, Sammie and Andy!

I saw your post on the DWB forum and just had to pop over to say hello as I share your feelings about comments...they are the real highlights for me - I so look forward to reading them and am so disappointed when I don't get many! :-)

Anyway, thank you very much for your welcome and I'd love to be friends - I don't have any Dachsie friends in 'real' life!

Slobbers,
HOney the Great Dane
ps. wow! that armadillo was so cool! I've only seen animals like that in books!!
pps. you want rain? Come on over to Auckland - it's mid-winter and POURING at the moment! hee! hee!

Hi again, guys - your comment was really funny! Actually, my humans also used that squirt bottle on me when I was a puppy and I was terrified of it! They didn't even need to squirt me after the first time - they just had to pick it up and I'd be promising to be good forever! :-)

But now that I'm older, I know my manners (most of the time!) and so usually, they just have to say "No" to stop me being naughty. So I haven't seen that squirt bottle for a long time...whew!

Honey the Great Dane

Hello Roxy, Sammy and Andy!
We are so glad that you found our blog. We have known you guys and have read about your adventures for a quite a while now, 'cept that we were too shy to come forward and make friends. We will include you in our list, if you don't mind. Take care!

Hey Dachsies,

We saw your comment in the bone zone too -- and that made our Mom feel a lot better about feeling so bad about not keeping up -- if you know what she means.

As for RAIN. It has done almost nothing but rain for the last few weeks here in South Florida. But that's normal 'cause it is the rainy season. But where you are, is that typical?

From walking us in the hot humid air, Mom looks like a wild woman -- but we are our usual handsome selves!!!

Wirey woofs to you long-time -- and much missed -- friends.
