We did have some excitement the other day. Mom kept it to herself because she didn't want us to interfere ... like we would do that. Mom was looking out the window and saw this ...
Mom says we have to apologize for the quality of the picture because she had to take it through the window and the window screen. She knew Mr. (or Ms.) Owl would fly away if she went outside to take a picture ... especially if we got passed her. Mom had never seen an owl except in pictures so this was a special treat for her. We know you are still only getting to see a picture (and a bad one at that) but you know someone who saw him (or her) in the tree and then saw him (or her) fly off. Mom didn't get a picture of him (or her) flying off but she said the wing span was incredible! She is also glad none of us are tiny little mini dachsies. Between the owls, hawks and other birds of prey around here, we are too big to be of much interest to them.
Take care and we will try to post a little more frequently.

Ooh! I luv to chase birds around the yard. Never can catch them though. Maybe if they just sat still for once like that bird in your picture then I could sneak up on them.
Welcome back =) What a cool owl, mom too has never seen one up that close. =)

We've never seen an owl for real either. The neighbors told us there are 4 owls in our neighborhood and we know there are coyotes and we just found out there's a bear too so Sasha is never allowed to go outside by herself without my protection. That's okay because I don't like going outside without her.
Hope your Mom finds something soon. Mom's hours were cut 2 weeks ago and she heard a rumor that they might be cut more or totally.

Thats a pretty owl. Be careful that they don't carry you guys away. That would be scary.
Interfere? What? We doggies would never interfere!
Whooooo was out there? Oh, and owl! We bet that was pretty cool for your mom to see. Too bad you didn't get to try to play with it.
Hello there
It's furry nice to meet you :)
I came across your blog through Paw It Forward and thought I would stop by and say Hi. Stop by my blog sometime, I like to make new friends. Also fur all the single pups out there, my brother Scooby has just started his own "business" called Lookin' Fur Love. You can find it on my blog.
Big licks to you
