For Grandma!

This post is for Grandma so she can see all of her flowers. If you don't like flowers, you might as well go read a different blog now.

First we will start with the wild flowers. This is one of the few bluebonnets that bloomed in the yard this year.

This is what they looked like last year. It is still early so maybe they will bloom like this again this year ... but we don't think it will happen.

This is a patch of Indian Paintbrushes or Indian Blanket.

This is a primrose.

And this is a patch of primroses.

And these are winecups!

Now for the domesticated plants. This is Amaryllis. We think we showed you these last year.

This is a blue iris.

Here is a blue iris with an amaryllis behind it.

Here is one of the many rose bushes with daffodils in front of it.

Here are the blooms from the Texas Mountain Laurel.

And here are a couple of pictures of the Wisteria.

This is just something we need to avoid! It is poison ivy!

Well, sorry we don't have any doggie pictures today. We wanted Grandma to see all the pretty flowers that are blooming. With Mom out here, it's harder for Grandma and Grandpaw to come out.

Hi Roxie, Sammy & Andy,
the Mommy's just loved this post. it lokks like your Grandma & Grandpa like the same kind of flowers that she does. I miss you guys so much!! I sure hope your Mommy is gonna come with all of you to the Spring Fling next Sunday. The Mommy said she only has me to look after, she could help your Mommy with you. I would be so nice to see Aunt Bec & Jake too.

Yesterday DROH had a booth at the Pet Fair in Deer park for all the rescue groups. I worked in the kissing booth by myslef for about 3hours & then the Mommy took me out & we went and set under a tree with Judy & some the dachsies that were there that are available for adoption. We posted pictures last night of dachsies, ours & some others we say and later tonight we are gonna post some pictures of the other dogs that was there.

Wow...there was some rally big dogs.

Please ask your Mommy if your gonna make it to the Spring Fling. I won't have no fun without my bestest friends in the whole dog world to play with.

Love ya lots & lots....Mona & the Mommy

Ohhh! Thank you! Spring at the farm is my favorite time of the year - I love the early flowers. (Of course, I really like winter with the possum-haw and the yaupon; and summer with all the lantana and crepe myrtle and morning glories; AND the fall when all the leaves turn red and gold and yellow!!) I guess, really, I just love the country. And to think, soon you'll have your very own yard!! You are lucky dogs; and I love all of you and your Mom a lot. Grandma

Wow! You gave lots of pretty flowers. Right now, my yard only has dirt and mud if it gets wet. Mom is very frustrated with our yard.

We hadn't been by for a while and just popped in to see how you three are doing.

Good news about Roxie. And we hope your Mom is all better now.

PS Will your Mom tell our Mom how much you guys eat each day? I think Millie might explode from eating too much.

Hi guys,

Mum loved all the photos', she especially like the Indian Paintbrushes, she has never seen those before. Spring is slow in coming here and Mum is really impatient for the flowers to start springing up here, thank you for giving her a little bit of spring :)

Mom's favorite flower (after tulips) is wisteria! Gorgeous!

She calls those primroses buttercups.

Cubby - Mom says she used to call the pink ones buttercups too until someone told her the yellow ones are buttercups and the pink one are primroses. We aren't sure why the yellow ones aren't just yellow primroses but ... whatever.

Hiya to you all

I am not ever going to let mistress see this floral post. At all. Ever. By the way we have amaryllis too or whatever it is called (you know I am not a floral dog). Fortunately she has not yet taken a piccy of it. Looks just like yours though.

She was out taking some spring mesembryanthemum pix tonight though so I have my worries to come and my blog battles to fight.

Love and kisses to darling Roxie and sixty million cheers for special diets (and no crystals).

Pippa xx
