Happy New Year!

Hello, everydog and GirlGirl! Yes, we know happy new year was a week ago but Mom hasn't helped us blog. We had to sneak on while she was at work so you would know we are all okay.

Gosh, we just barely survived those fireworks on New Years Eve! There was someone very nearby who was shooting off fireworks so we barked and barked. Mom finally made us stay in the house and she turned on the television kind of loud to cover up the noise.

Aunt Bec and Maggie and Jake came over too! Mom and Aunt Bec were drinking cranberry juice and some other stuff in it that made them laugh and get sillier than usual. They also had some yummy smelling stuff that they were eating on crackers. Once AGAIN we say yummy SMELLING because once AGAIN they didn't share one little bite with us. They did sit on the sofas a lot so we got to sit on top of them. We kept them nice and warm and stayed as close to the food as possible.

We haven't done a lot so far this year. Mom says we have to get ready for people to come over to our house again. We had visitors the weekend after Christmas to watch Mom's college football team lose their game. We know enough to say as little as possible about that! We will have more visitors for some other football games. That happens when you have a big television. People are willing to put up with us if they can watch the big TV!

Mom was cleaning up and guess what? She found the 2007 dachsie Christmas ornament she was supposed to give to Grandma and Grandpaw from us. Can you believe she forgot? What if our Grandma and Grandpaw think we forgot about them or that we don't love them? We told her she needs to get that ornament to them as soon as possible!

We have to apologize that there aren't any pictures. We need for Mom to help us with them. Maybe she will have time this week even though she is really busy at work. We liked it much better when she was off of work from Dec 14 through Dec 25. We got to sleep in every morning and sit with her a least part of the day ... but she did run around a lot.

Well, we need to get back to our naps. All of this typing has made us tired.

I don't like fireworks either. I haven't done much either this year. So we are all the same, and I am off back to snooze on my sofa.

Shhhh----we took over Mom's laptop while she's taking care of business, but funny we have to take care of our business outside! Anyway, Happy New Year and we're heading back to our beanbags to rest up--besides we hear Mom coming!

Good to see you guys back! Your Mom really needs to find a job where she can stay home with you all the time.

We didn't hear any fireworks, but I took my loopy meds just in case.

Hey guys,
I think you should start charging entrance fees everytime those people come over to watch the big TV. That way you can make some money to buy more treats! Maybe then your Mom don't need to go to work daily. hehe...

Happy New Year!
Sure it was not fun being there just smeling that food!
I love when people come to my house. Too bad that doesn't happen too often!
My mom loves sports and I am always pretty close to her watching them!
Kisses and hugs

There weren't any fireworks around here. I like fireworks though. Mom says that's weird. I go hunting though so I guess I'm used to loud noises.
Your Mom should overnight that ornament with a big apology so your Grandma and Grandpaw know it's her fault and not your's!

We went out early to miss the fireworks and heard them only in the distance. We also got lots of lap time, but not too much of the holiday treats. Mom says it's for our own good -- but we think she could be a bit more generous.

We do get lots of carrots and apple and popcorn -- and of course our peanut butter kong at bedtime.

Happy New Year!!! We went with our mama and sisters on a trip to see our nana and papa and we were all safely tucked into bed long before any noisemakers sounded!

When Tubey is elected president, he's going to outlaw fireworks. And thunder & lightning. He's got my vote!
Hope you pups are doing well!

This is my first time visiting. The AO4's Mom sent me your way as I am trying to locate a Daschund rescue in the Midwest. Due to his owner's medical issues there is a daschund in Central Iowa needing a new home. If you have any suggestions that would be wonderful.

GREAT TREE!!!
