Life is good. We are four dachshunds living in central Texas USA. Three of us and Mom used to live in Houston but we moved to the country and we love it! We bark at cows and birds and rabbits and turtles and squirrels ... we even barked at a copperhead snake but he didn't like it and that turned into an adventure best not repeated. Come read all about our lives!

Happy Thanksgiving (in the USA)!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our fellow American dogs and cats! Mom has made the strawberry ribbon salad. She has the cranberry sauce chilled. And the rolls are already at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Everyone (but no dogs) is gathering at Grandma and Grandpa's house to eat, eat and eat. We would love to be invited but Mom seems to think we will get in the way and make too much noise. She's probably right, but don't tell her that.
Anyway, we have lots of things to be thankful for too. We have Mom. We have each other. We have Aunt Bec and Maggie and Jake and Grandma and Grandpa and ... okay, we will spare you having us list everyone (are you giving thanks?). We have food and shelter. We have toys and more toys. We have medicine to protect us. We have a vet who takes good care of us. We have Dachshund Rescue of Houston who took care of Sammy and Andy and are taking care of our relatives who are just starting to get the love they deserve. We have new collars. We have lots and lots of love. We have all of our DWB friends. We have Mona and the Mommy.
But we don't have turkey. Maybe tonight ...
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American friends! Happy November 22 to everyone else!

hi my dearest friends,
i can't believe it. i gots to go with the Mommy to Aunt Pam's for turkey day & almost ate the whole bird by myself. i wanted a drumstick but Aunt Pam said NO and my mean old Mommy wouldn't go steal you for me.I also made a new freind today. She is my human nephew's boxer, her name is Kilie...boy she is big (70 pounds)
but she was so much fun. At first i was scared of her because i only weigh 15 pounds.
thanks for being my bestest friends and saying how thankful you guys are for having me and the Mommy as your friends.
Love Mona & the Mommy
