I Love Cubby

I just love Cubby! I was visiting my favorite blogs and I got to Cubby's blog and what do I see? A picture of ME, Roxie! And it is such a good picture! I feel all warm and cuddly. Ok, so I asked him to draw the picture but that's cool too. He listened to me. That's more than I can get Mom to do on a regular basis.

Oh, yeah, Mom. I got into so much trouble Saturday night. Mom left us at home on Saturday and came home with some other dog's scent on her! Even worse, it was Aunt Lexie's scent and she doesn't like me very much. Ok, ok, so I'm the one that bothers Aunt Lexie all the time, but she should be honored that I pay attention to her. I don't pay attention to everyone. But back to me ... Mom got home and I was mad once I realized she had been catting (sorry, Zeus) around behind my back. To her favor, she at least felt bad about it so she let me sleep with her in the big bed on Saturday night. Well, the more I thought about it, the madder I got. So at 4:30, I peed on her bed. I even made sure to get out from under the covers and stand on the comforter. Well, she rolled over into the wet spot and all heck broke loose! I ran to my crate. She jumped out of bed and slammed the door shut on me. Then she started taking all of the covers off of the bed. I heard her take them to the washing machine. She came back, changed her pajamas and disappeared into the den. I think she slept on the sofa the rest of the night. In the morning, she let Sammy & Andy out of their crates but she left me in mine. She came and got me later but I could tell she hadn't forgotten yet. Anyway, I was in the dog house all morning. I need to remember to wait until one of my brothers is loose next time before I do that. She always figures out it is me when I am the only one out of my crate.

Roxie, sounds like your mom fail the patience test.

That is such a cool picture of you Roxie!! Wow, how did Cubby make that picture? I will have to make it a point to visit Cubby's blog. I haven't seen him before.

Ooh, Roxie! I can't believe you were such a bad girl! I peed in the house once, but I was overly excited. Unfortunately, I was doing my exuberant boxer spins at the time, resulting in pee spirals all over the place. But even bad Dakota wouldn't potty in mom's bed. You are lucky you have such a nice mommy. She still loves you, I'm sure.

HI guys, I saw your comment on Copper's web site about how you're gonna wear bandanas for Halloween -- ketchup, mustard, and green relish. Take a look at this: Scroll down to about the 10th picture, and you'll see my friends dressed up as ketchup and mustard.

Oh dear, sounds like you're in trouble! You could buy her a present to say sorry: have you seen 'Lump, the dog that ate a Picasso'. It's such a lovely book, all about a dog just like you who made friends with Picasso!

Oh-oh! You've done it now, Roxie. Do you think she will ever let you back in her bed? I just got awarded weekend bed sleeping privilages and sure don't want to mess that up. Hearing what happened to you has reminded me to not pee on Linda's bed. Maybe I need to write a note to myself as a reminder so I don't forget and ruin my bed privilages.

I love the portrait Cubby did of you!

Oh, oh, oh. You sure got in trouble, didn't you!!! This reminds me of a story Mom once told me. She was housesitting some Daschies and they did the same thing. They got mad at her for coming home late and peed on the comforter so she was doing laundry in the middle of the night too. You Daschies sure know how to give someone a piece of your mind!!!

I saw the picture! Cubby did a great job!!! Maybe you could move in with Cubby for a while untill your mom gets over the pee thing.

Oh Roxie, you are so in trouble!!!

But if it gives you hope, my Mom has forgiven me for peeing on her new dress - the one she was going to wear to her Mom's funeral - when it was on - you guessed it - the bed! (What was I THINKING!?) So, just lay low and give her lots of kisses and those cute doxie looks and she'll forget all about it!

Hmmmm Roxie, that wasn't such a great idea, was it?

Anyway, hope you get back the bed privileges soon! And yeah, remember to wait 'til all three of you are free to do any messing about.

And I love Cubby's portrait of you!

Chow for now,

Miss Roxie,

All I can say is: RUH ROH!! I can't believe you peed on the bed.. don't you know that the bed is SACRED?! I never get to sleep on the bed.. though I always get to snuggle on the couch, which is good too. I peed twice on the couch in the last two days heh heh.. (naughty, I know, but the sofa-blankets smelled funny.. they smelled CLEAN!) so Mum also wasn't very happy with me either, so I share your pain! Don't worry, if we combine our dashing good looks together there is no way that our Mums could stay angry with us and our urinating antics :) (Just as long as we don't do it again.. hopefully..)

Ooh, Roxie, I know just how you felt! I have done the same thing to Momma's bed and I'm an only child so it's not to hard for Momma to figure out who done it! I hope you've both made up. It usually doesn't take Momma long too forgive me. I hope it's the same for you!

Roo

Roxie, we feel your pain. We've had our "accidents" on the carpet in the dressing area. OH, Mom gets upset when that happens. But, give her that, "I'm soooo sorry and love you soooo much" look and she'll get over it.

Lilly doesn't bark to go out, she just stands by the door. Ok, who is going to "hear" her at 2am???? :) That's our story and we're sticking to it!
