Busy, Busy Day

Boy are we glad the day is over! We were so busy! First we had to bark at the squirrels in the yard. After Ivy's warnings, we keep a sharp eye out for those dangerous creatures!

Then we had to watch Mom move patio chairs out into the yard by the magnolia tree. Once they were there, we had to sniff them and make sure they didn't do anything suspicious.

Soon Aunt Bec came over and we had to bark at her. We were surprised because Maggie and Jake were not with her but then we found out it was because they wanted to torture us and record it. They set up the camera on a tripod. Mom got treats for us but, instead of giving us the treats, she put us in the chairs. We didn't want to stay but she acted like she was going to give us treats. Finally she gave us some. After we ate them, Aunt Bec started taking pictures of us. If one of us jumped down, Mom picked us up again and put us back in the chair! It was terribly unfair. There were other dogs barking in the neighborhood but Mom wouldn't let us run to the fence to bark back at them. We had to sit in the chairs.

Finally they finished taking the pictures ... or so we thought. Then they moved into the bathroom to see if they could get pictures of us in the bathtub. Mom had tried it before and decided she needed a tripod to get better pictures. This time we were wise to her plot so we didn't cooperate. They took a couple of pictures but none of them met their standards. We got out of there really fast!!

Then we had to check the sofa for comfort. We have to do this every evening, but, on weekends, we have to do it all day long. It would have been easier, except Mom started watching another one of her school's football games. She gets kind of noisy during the games ... especially if her team is winning. Hmmm ... actually she gets noisy when they are losing too but we can't repeat any of that!

Then we had to remind Mom that is was dinner time. She was just sitting on the sofa and our little tummies were hungry. We aren't sure why she has to be so difficult sometimes. She thinks the clock tells us what time to eat. We think our tummies tell us what time to eat. We say listen to the tummies.

Then it was time for business ... but that's enough about that. While we were busy, Mom moved the patio chairs back to the patio. We, of course, had to check them again. When things are moved in our yard, we have to check out all of the changes.

Then it was time to make sure the sofa was still comfortable. We did go outside and look for squirrels but they must have been bothering someone else because we didn't see any more of them.

And now it is time for bed. After all of the activity today, we are ready to get some sleep.

Oh, by the way, the pictures were for the Dogs With Blogs calendar. Mom sent our pictures to Opy's and Charlie's humans. We can't wait to see which picture they liked best. Here is a picture Mom didn't send ...

MJ, we got out treats and Mom pet us but we didn't get a million dollars. We obviously need a better agent!

Zach, thanks. It was hard work. You will see the results when the DWB calendar comes out.

Ao4, it was very comfortable but we wanted to go bark at the neighbor dogs. We think they were laughing at us because Mom wouldn't let us bark back. (It was funny, your comment came in as Mom was readying YOUR blog!)

That's a pretty cool thing - connected through cyber-space! Or in our case, siber-space. Ha roo!
I think the neighbor dogs were probably jealous cuz you got cookies! They probably wanted in on the action!

Ooooohh Dachsie doogs,

you all look wonderful up there.

Hmmmm, kinda like Lick All Evil, Sniff All Evil, Sense All Evil.

Okay okay I'm wandering.

Anyway, as I posted to somedog else, here's my advice: don't get out of your beds for less than 1,000 treats a day.

Chow for now,

Tin Tin xo

Copper, ALL dachsies are handsome, as you well know! ;-)

Cubby, we are excited about the calendar too. Probably everyone Mom knows will get one.

Tin Tin, or maybe: Lick all Food, Smell all Food and Sense all Food (followed immediatedly by EAT all Food).
