Why Me?

Sammy here ... again!

Why do these things happen to me? I was just shaking my head a little. And I scratched around my ears a little. And I shook my head a little more. The next thing I know, I'm on a road trip with Mom.

(I don't really like to go into the car. When I was younger, the car was a bad thing. I would get into a car and go to a new place and get left. Then I would get into another car and go to a new place and get left. This happened lots of times. Sometimes I ended up back at my foster mom's house but it was always after I thought I had found a forever home. I have been here for two years but when I get into the car, I am still worried my mom will take me somewhere and leave me. It would break my heart .... )

But, back to my ears. We got into the car and went to see Dr. S. At least I didn't get any shots but he looked in both of my ears. Then he put drops in them. He said I have a little bit of an infection that is probably from all the dampness and humidity. He said lucky for me it is only a little bit of an infection since Mom caught it early so it doesn't bother me as much as it could have. But, she has to put 4 drops in each ear twice a day until the medicine is gone. I hope there are only 8 more drops in there!

But even the ear drops aren't enough to make me want to leave. I love Roxie and Andy and Mom and Aunt Bec and Grandpa and Grandma and Jake and Maggie and Aunt Lexie (my dachsie aunt).

If I say "HUH?" it is because I can't hear you with these drops in my ears.

Sammy, I am SURE you got the infection in your ears because you got locked in the laundry room. What a terrible couple days you have had.

Copper,

It's good to know someone understands.

Hi Sammy,

Ok, now the most important thing is not to wallow in the past but to figure out how to repay the injustice. I personally suggest destruction of some beloved object (perhaps a shoe or two - always look for the ones marked Made in Italy).

Glad you're ok!

Love,

Ewww.. those ear infections are no fun at all. I had one for about 6 weeks before the ointment and antibiotic ear wash got rid of it for good. I guess that is a common problem for us droopy eared dogs.
I hope your ears are better soon, because those infections feel awful.
Big Wags,
Isabella

Sammy,

Firstest of all...your momma would never leave you. You are too woowoo cute for leaving. Second, if she did, Doodles would get a bunch of us huskies together and we would do major husky destructo on her underwears!

Doodles hopes you feel better little bud. Ear probs are ick. Tell your momma though if you keep getting them to have the doc check you for food allergies. Ear owies are pretty common with food allergies.

When me in the car, me always keep an eye on the parents. But, if they both leave the car, me knows something good will be coming soon for me to munch on :)

Sammy, I feel your pain! I have allergies (probably from living in Houston as well!), and I get dirty ears a lot. My vet told my human pet she had to give me Epi-Otic in order to keep my ear problem under control, and I can tell you: I hate it!
