See ya!

We are going to the country again as soon as Aunt Bec gets off at noon. She has to get home and let Maggie and Jake out before we go pick them up but then we will be on the road and, hopefully, out to the country yard by 2:30 or 3:00! YIPPEE!! Those cowdogs better watch out!

Mom took the day off and is taking us to get our nails clipped. Roxie has glamour (long) nails and Mom says she is tired of getting racing stripes every time Roxie decides to use Mom as a launching pad. Mom doesn't like to clip our nails because she hurt Sammy when she was trying to learn. She says she would rather we be afraid of someone else besides our mom. That works for us. Mom is good for food and treats and love and petting and snuggling and a little yelling when we are barking too much.

Anyway, we are sorry we are going to miss the Blogathon. It sounds like it will be great fun to read all of the entries. We wish Meeshka lots of wakefulness to make it the full 24 hours and think she is great to be blogging to raise money for husky rescue! Mom supports and volunteers with rescue and Sammy and Andy came from Dachshund Rescue so we all support everyone involved in it. Meeshka is doing a great thing!

my mom does the same thing! she takes us to get our nails clipped cause she is scared to hurt me and make my nails bleed. i want them clipped but i don't like getting it done! she said she would rather have someone who does it all the time trim my nails. i tell mom i need my nails trimmed by chewing on them. she doesn't understand my pleading any other way!

Hey there Dachsies,

Thanks again for droppin' by my blog and for the link...

...and just go easy on the cowdogs, ok? 'Cos you wouldn't like my kith and kin to get scared off, would you?

And congrats on winning the recent 'Awesome Blogs' award recently, you must be soo chuffed.

So, tail wags to you. Bum-sniff you later, dudes.

I won't even let my mom and dad touch my paws (something in my puppy stage frightened me I guess), let alone trim my nails. They take me to the vet and let her do it. Usually the vet gets me to let her hold my paw and cut my nails but the last time I got scared when the vet assistant put me in the crate. I just freaked out! So.. the vet zonked me out and then did the trimming plus I got chipped.

My human sister clips our nails when she comes over. My Dad used to but he hurt me once and now he won't do it. Mom has never done it. I HATE IT!!!! I wiggle and moan and try to escape. It doesn't work though. Now it takes two people to do my nails - my Mom pets me while my sister clips my nails.
